London, UK

Head of Finance

Humanoid is the first AI and robotics company in the UK, creating the world’s most advanced, reliable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.

Our Mission

At Humanoid we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.

Vision

In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries. The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do. We believe that providing a universal basic income will eventually be a true evolution of our civilization.

Solution

As the demands on our built environment rise, labour shortages loom. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed. By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.

  • Lead external audits and statutory reporting with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Tax, Audit & Compliance
  • Own the company’s tax strategy, including corporate tax, VAT, R&D tax credit claims, and regional equivalents
  • Lead all tax filings, submissions, and compliance activities in coordination with local advisors
  • Manage audit readiness and continuous compliance across multiple regulatory environments
  • Identify and optimise opportunities for tax efficiency within an ethical and compliant framework
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Build a best-in-class FP&A capability to drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with business units to create meaningful, data-driven reporting that informs resource allocation and strategic priorities
  • Develop KPI dashboards and business intelligence systems for ongoing visibility into financial and operational performance
  • Support scenario modelling and investment cases for product development, hiring, and infrastructure expansion
  • Systems, Process & Capability Development
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable financial systems (ERP, FP&A, and automation tools)
  • Establish company-wide financial policies and standard operating procedures for spend control, approvals, and procurement
  • Drive process automation, data integrity, and operational efficiency across the finance ecosystem
  • Foster continuous improvement in financial capabilities across people, process, and technology
  • Business Partnership & Commercial Enablement
  • Act as a key partner to engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and go-to-market teams
  • Support cost visibility, pricing analysis, and performance management across programs and functions
  • Provide financial input into major commercial deals, supplier contracts, and capital projects
  • Collaborate closely with Cost Engineering on total cost of ownership, lifecycle cost, and financial trade-offs

We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally including leadership in high-growth, product-based or manufacturing environments
  • Strong technical grounding across FP&A, accounting, treasury, audit, tax, and risk management
  • Proven success building and scaling financial capabilities, systems, and controls in multi-entity, global organizations
  • Experience managing R&D tax claims, UK VAT submissions, and regional tax equivalents
  • Highly analytical and structured, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insight
  • Hands-on leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary plus participation in our Stock Option Plan
  • Paid vacation with adjustments based on your location to comply with local labor laws
  • UK Private Insurance
  • Travel opportunities to our Vancouver and Boston offices
  • Office perks: free breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and regular team events
