Senior Technical Program Manager

Humanoid is the first AI and robotics company in the UK, creating the world’s most advanced, reliable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.

We are building a world-class robotics organization across Vancouver, London, and Boston to solve some of the hardest problems in humanoid robotics — including integrating complex hardware, embedded systems, AI, and large-scale robotic platforms into cohesive, production-ready systems.

If you are excited about driving large-scale, cross-functional robotics programs from concept to real-world deployment, we want to hear from you.

Our Mission

At Humanoid we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity.

About the Role

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Humanoid, you will own the planning and execution of complex robotics programs, ensuring predictable delivery of our next-generation humanoid systems.
You will lead cross-functional development across hardware and software, coordinating efforts across Vancouver, Boston, and London to deliver highly integrated robotic platforms.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong technical judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to drive execution across deeply interdependent teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Comprehensively plan a robot new product introduction program, accountable for scope, schedule, cost, and process. Although the emphasis of your program scope is the Hardware platform, your program is HIGHLY cross-functional, incorporating: Systems, Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, AI/ML, DFX, Regulatory, Integration, Test, Supply Chain, Design, Product, Marketing, Logistics, and more.
  • Track and motivate program and project progress end-to-end, coordinating many teams and sites to predictably execute the plan
  • Proactively anticipate risks, put handling plans in place, and manage them actively
  • Empathize with, partner with, negotiate with, and manage stakeholders. Use tactful and effective approaches to achieve alignments and secure commitments
  • Urgently identify, prioritize, and clear blockers
  • Establish efficient, effective, clear, timely program communication optimised for the very real challenges of collaboration across distances, cultures, and timezones. Your communication is tailored to the audience.
  • Based on situational judgment, manage at various levels between strategic and detailed
  • Using systems thinking, perspective, and technical judgment: bring clarity, prioritization, and guidance to teams
  • Roll up your sleeves and enthusiastically chip in wherever it may be needed for success of the program. At Humanoid, we’re all in this together.
  • Never settling for the status quo, continually improve our program management ways of working
  • Demonstrate through your actions how you meaningfully contribute to the team’s success – establishing strong enduring influence across the program team and its stakeholders.

We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience as a project or program manager leading hardware new product introduction
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field relevant to robotics or engineering
  • Experience leading development of complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and hardware development processes for scalable manufacturing
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional engineering environments
  • Proficiency with multiple program management methodologies and tools
  • Proven ability to create structure and clarity in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both synchronous and asynchronous
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across diverse teams
  • Ability to remain calm, structured, and effective under pressure, including with executive stakeholders
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
  • Systems-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Willingness to work early hours when needed to collaborate with teams in London and Boston

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced hardware companies
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Familiarity with robotics development lifecycles and integration challenges
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or production ramp environments

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary plus participation in our Stock Option Plan
  • Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
  • Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
  • Ability to solve some of the most complex systems engineering challenges in robotics.
  • Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of annual leave (accrued), 15 days of paid sick leave, and paid company holidays.
  • Comprehensive extended health benefits starting on your first day, including fully paid medical and dental, virtual care, employee and family assistance, and worldwide emergency medical support.
