About the Role

As a Senior Buyer at Humanoid, you will be in an operational procurement role focused on P2P execution, supplier communication, and tactical sourcing support across Humanoid’s direct material commodity. Supporting the Procurement Manager, you will partner with teams in London, Boston, and Vancouver in delivering continuity of supply, cost performance, and operational excellence across Mechanical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Cables & Harnessing, and Software commodities.

What You’ll Do:

Operational Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify cost‑saving opportunities and understand price trends and supply risks.
  • Support sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Drive cost, lead‑time, and efficiency improvements with measurable KPIs.
  • Capture business requirements and translate them into clear commercial packages.
  • Negotiate optimal commercial terms (pricing, payment terms, lead times, Ts & Cs).
  • Conduct price analysis and cost‑breakdown validation to ensure fair and equitable pricing.
  • Process requisitions and purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
  • Maintain accurate PO and supplier data within SAP and associated systems.
  • Resolve supplier performance issues, discrepancies and understand the escalation process.
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Minimize risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments for the portfolio’s suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Support continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, and tools.
  • Deliver KPI’s relating to cost, cash, quality, service and continuity of supply for the commodity proposals.
  • Run MRP (SAP) and ensure timely availability of direct goods and services.
  • Experience of implementing Supplier Relationship Management techniques / tools with suppliers (RMMs, Score Cards, Monthly Performance Reviews (MPRs), Communications Plans, Risk Management, DnB report, Sanctions list etc.)
  • Support Production, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to meet manufacturing needs.
  • Directly support the Procurement Managers in the regional area
  • This role supports the Commodity teams in sourcing activities but does not own commodity strategy or supplier selection decisions

We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of direct procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aero /defense or automotive 
  • Proven experience working within scaling direct procurement functions.
  • Degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or related field.
  • CIPS (MCIPS) Level 5 or equivalent; APICS CPIM desirable.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and negotiation frameworks.
  • Awareness of export controls (including EAR) relevant to robotics and technology.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and database management.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems; SAP highly desirable.
  • Good analytical, numerical, and planning capabilities.
  • A good understanding of the Legal Aspects associated with contracting within the Robotics & AI industry
  • Procure-2-Pay and tactical procurement experience (Essential) across the following direct commodities pillars:
    • Mechanical Systems
    • Electronics & Electrical
    • Electromechanical Systems
    • Cables & Harnessing
    • Software & Digital Licensing (P2P support)

About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Robotics Prototype Engineer to join our Core Platform team based in Boston. This is a hands-on role where you will rapidly iterate, assemble, diagnose, and evolve advanced robotic platforms for real-world use.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical issues in prototype humanoid robots, including operational and in-development systems; perform detailed failure analysis and share learnings with hardware/software engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers on prototype design, assembly, and bring-up, especially high-density electromechanical integrations.
  • Create, maintain, and execute clear test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair runbooks for the prototyping lab to ensure high standards and rapid iteration cycles.
  • Design, document, and iterate on cable assemblies, test jigs, and harnesses optimized for repeated use on dynamic robotic platforms.
  • Identify and own opportunities for continuous process and product improvement—minimizing downtime and improving test/repair efficiency.
  • Contribute to robust feedback loops across design, build, and test, driving first-pass yield and manufacturability.

We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience in rapid physical prototyping, hands-on debug of custom hardware, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in robotics or similar domains.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage and mixed-signal circuits, connectors, sensors, and compact electromechanical systems.
  • Track record communicating concisely via documentation—procedures, test plans, diagnostics, and lessons learned.
  • Adept collaborating across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering boundaries to solve urgent, ambiguous issues.
  • Comfortable in a high-velocity, high-ambiguity startup setting where priorities shift fast.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability and reliability in the context of human-sized or mobile robotics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automated test and diagnostic tools used in modern hardware labs.

What You’ll Do

  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying production software in embedded systems running Linux (C++, C, Rust, Python, Go).
  • Experience developing time-sensitive, performance-critical applications.
  • Thorough understanding of Ethernet and IP networking and higher-level protocols like HTTP or gRPC.
  • Experience with Linux build environments like Yocto or Buildroot.
  • Experience in building Linux kernels and modifying or writing device drivers.
  • Experience with NVIDIA’s Jetson platform is a plus.
  • Experience working with sensor data, including cameras, lidars, radars, and IMUs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear technical documentation and deliver presentations on complex topics.
  • Proven history of leading cross-functional technical projects, including developing technical requirements and driving collaboration across teams.
  • Experience working in small, agile teams with fast iteration cycles and interdisciplinary collaboration.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior or Staff Robot Control Engineer to develop whole-body control systems for bipedal robots.

You will work on a control stack combining whole-body and reinforcement learning, enabling robust loco-manipulation behaviors on real robots. A central focus of the role is ensuring that learning-based policies operate safely within structured control architectures, maintaining stability, predictability, and reliable deployment on hardware.

You will design and deploy control algorithms that run directly on physical robots, iterating between simulation and hardware experiments. You will also help shape the architecture of the robot control stack, defining how learning-based policies integrate with whole-body control and safety mechanisms.

The problems you will work on include dynamic locomotion, contact-rich manipulation, balance recovery, and safe integration of learning-based behaviors.

You will collaborate closely with robotics engineers across Boston, London, and Vancouver working on robot design, locomotion, manipulation, and robot deployment.

What You’ll Do

  • Design safe whole-body control architectures for bipedal robots.
  • Develop controllers enabling stable locomotion and loco-manipulation.
  • Integrate reinforcement learning policies within the control stack, ensuring safe operation and reliable hardware behavior.
  • Define interfaces between learned policies and structured controllers, enabling supervision and fallback mechanisms.
  • Validate controllers in simulation and on physical robots.
  • Contribute to a robust, modular real-time control codebase.

We’re Looking For:

  • MS or PhD in Robotics, Control, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience developing control systems for complex robots, ideally legged or humanoid platforms.
  • Experience with whole-body control or physics-based robot control architectures.

About The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the Core Platform team, you’ll design and develop the electrical systems that bring advanced humanoid robots to life. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across the full spectrum of robotics electrical engineering—from electrical system designs, electromechanical integrations, PCB layouts, firmware and device programming, to hands-on debugging in the lab. Your work will span from small test systems to fully integrated prototype robots, and provide you with a unique opportunity to have a big impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Design Electrical Systems for Robotics: Develop electrical systems that power and control Humanoid’s advanced robots, with a focus on sensors, compute architecture, and power systems.
  • Conduct Circuit Analysis and Debugging: Use strong circuit analysis fundamentals to review electrical designs, conduct failure analysis, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
  • PCB Design and Schematic Capture: Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium, ensuring the designs meet the performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards required for robotics.
  • Develop Embedded Firmware: Write firmware in C and HDL to program microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs, testing and refining embedded designs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Leverage Linux for Robotics: Utilize your knowledge of command-line Linux to configure networks, run software, and interface with robots for testing and validation.
  • Hands-On Lab Work: Use a variety of lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, programmable loads, and spectrum analyzers, to validate designs and solve complex electrical engineering challenges.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience developing power regulation and distribution systems, including particular expertise with short-circuit protection systems, switching power supplies, and creative power management technologies.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium) for schematic capture and layout.
  • Familiarity with embedded programming, including C, HDL, and other relevant languages for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
  • Working knowledge of circuit simulation, analysis, and debugging techniques, including the use of oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Interpret Open-Ended Design Requirements: Help transform broad project requirements into detailed, pragmatic design specifications for new systems and components.

We’re Looking For:

  • BSME with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing high‑performance mechanical structures, motion mechanisms, and integrated systems, ideally in robotics or comparable high‑precision fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, Creo etc.) with experience in FEA and topology optimization.  We use Solidworks.
  • Strong understanding of ASME drafting standards, including GD&T (Y14.5-2018).
  • Experience transitioning designs from early concepts (NPI, EVT, DVT) to production.
  • Familiarity with production processes such as casting, sheet metal, stamping, hydroforming, composites, and compliant energy-absorbing structures.
  • Experience designing lightweight, high-performance structures, compliant mechanisms, and flexible energy-absorbing designs.
  • Creative and collaborative thinking with a team-first mentality.
