Humanoid offers a vision of a human-robot future in a new teaser video

June 2025, London — Humanoid, a UK-based robotics and AI company, released a new teaser video offering a cinematic glimpse into its vision for a near future where humanoid robots seamlessly coexist with humans in everyday environments. The teaser highlights the company’s mission to transcend physical tasks by building commercially scalable, reliable and safe humanoid robots — moving beyond research and into daily life.

The video launch comes ahead of a major milestone for Humanoid: the debut of its alpha prototype, scheduled for later this year. This first model will focus on wheeled and bipedal platforms and pick-and-place use case, targeting applications across logistics, retail, and manufacturing.

“Unlike many other humanoid robotics companies, we’re developing Humanoid with a focus on  solving actual problems with practical, market-ready solutions rather than just doing research in the lab,” said Artem Sokolov, founder of Humanoid. “I believe we’re entering a new era where robots will work with humans, handling repetitive tasks. This is the main reason I started Humanoid in the first place: to free people from hard and monotonous tasks.”

Founded in 2024, Humanoid has rapidly grown into a global team of more than 130 world-class engineers, researchers, and innovators, with offices in London, Boston, and Vancouver. The company is currently developing its first general-purpose humanoid robot HMND 01 to perform complex tasks across various use cases and industries.

“Our approach prioritizes making robots both affordable and immediately deployable in real-world settings. We’re starting with a wheeled platform because it can reach the market faster and it’s in higher demand right now: for example, in logistics, over 80% of use cases can be addressed with this type of platform,” said Jarad Cannon, Humanoid’s CTO.

A standout aspect of the Humanoid general-purpose robot is its cutting-edge modular design, supporting both wheeled and legged configurations. The product combines advanced functionality with a refined, approachable appearance that enables smoother human-robot interaction.

With the teaser now released, Humanoid is advancing its product development and deepening strategic partnerships in preparation for the alpha prototype launch and pilot programs deployment.

London, May 2025 — Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics company, announced the appointment of Jarad Cannon as its new Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s technological advancements, integrate cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless collaboration between development and business strategy to create best-in-class, scalable products.

Over the next 6 to 12 months, his key priorities will be to scale the engineering team, deliver alpha prototypes on schedule, and lead successful proof-of-concept deployments laying the foundation for customer applications.

With over 13 years in robotics and AI, focused on delivering scalable, real-world products and running cross-functional engineering teams, Jarad Cannon brings strong applied industry knowledge and a deep understanding of market needs. Prior to joining Humanoid, he served as CTO at Brain Corp, a robotics automation partner powering the most intelligent tools to create more productive workforces. He played a key role in scaling the company from 5 to over 40,000 deployed robots and growing the team from 30 to 250 employees. He also led the launch of 13 different robots into the market, primarily in commercial floorcare and inventory analytics.’s founder.

Before Brain Corp, Cannon spent six years at iRobot as a software engineer, where he was focused on telepresence robots for business and medical applications, reconnaissance and defense robots, as well as advanced mapping and cleaning behaviors for Roomba.

“I’m excited to join Humanoid at this unique moment. Compute, data, and frontier AI are finally powerful enough to breathe true intelligence into machines, while macro trends such as rising labor costs, workforce shortages, and declining birth rates, create ideal conditions for robotics adoption. We have the rare combination of timing, world-class talent, and technology to make humanoid robotics real, at scale, starting now,” he noted.

Founded in 2024 by Artem Sokolov, Humanoid is on a mission to build the most reliable, safe, and helpful humanoid robots. They will provide highly efficient services across various use cases and industries, starting with industrial applications such as pick-and-place use cases, visual checks and assembly in manufacturing.

Humanoid’s latest innovation, HMND 01, is a next-generation labor automation unit designed to perform complex tasks at human-level or even superior manipulation speeds. HMND 01’s modular design offers flexibility in real-world deployment, allowing for quick reconfiguration to suit diverse tasks and environments. The company’s next milestone is the launch of its wheeled and bipedal alpha models, scheduled for later this year.

Humanoid released a new video featuring company’s first humanoid robot HMND 01

London, February 11, 2025 — UK-based AI and robotics company Humanoid unveiled a new product video, offering a first look at its general-purpose humanoid robot HMND 01 in action. The video highlights the robot’s innovative mechanical design, advanced motion control, and cutting-edge AI integration, marking a major step towards efficient human-robot collaboration.

Founded in 2024 by serial entrepreneur Artem Sokolov, Humanoid is on a mission to develop the world’s leading, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots.

“At Humanoid, our team believes in a future where humans and machines work side by side, not in competition, but in harmony. This societal shift will address social issues such as workforce shortages and aging population while giving people more freedom to focus on more creative and meaningful work. The strongest argument in favor of humanoids is that the world is already designed for humans, so they can seamlessly integrate and quickly adapt to existing environments. With a world-class team, Humanoid has ambitious plans for the year ahead. In 2025, we plan to develop and test our alpha prototype for two platforms — wheeled and bipedal. We’re also in ongoing discussions with leading retail companies for potential pilot projects,” says Artem Sokolov, Humanoid’s founder.

The company’s latest development, HMND 01, is a next-generation labor automation unit standing 175 cm (5’9”) tall and weighing 70 kg (154 lbs). It can reach a walking speed of 1.5 m/s (5.4 km/h), with an average runtime of 4 hours and a payload capacity of 15 kg (33 lbs). HMND 01 achieves human-level or higher manipulation speeds for complex tasks and can navigate confined spaces with exceptional accuracy.

The robot’s hardware and software are designed with a modular concept. Customers could incorporate different upper-body, lower-body, and end-effector configurations to ensure adaptability, better meet their requirements, and reduce costs. Moreover, HMND 01 features a wide range of interchangeable garments that protect both its systems and the surrounding environment.

With hardware and software stability as core design principles, Humanoid’s general-purpose robots offer a low total cost of ownership (TCO) suitable for mass commercialization. They will provide highly efficient services across various use cases and industries, starting with industrial applications such as goods handling, picking and packing, kitting and part handling. HMND 01 could enhance automation levels in retail and manufacturing facilities, logistics and fulfillment centers, and warehouses.
