What You’ll Do

Fleet Support & Root Cause Analysis (Immediate Impact)

  • Triage & Debug: Act as the first line of engineering defense for newly built robots. When a robot fails in the field or the lab, you investigate why.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Deep dive into mechanical, electrical, and software logs to identify the source of failures. You will distinguish between a “bad part,” a “bad assembly,” or a “bad design.”
  • Feedback Loop: Document your findings and feed them back to the design team, allowing them to focus on long-term fixes rather than daily firefighting.

Sensor Evaluation (R&D)

  • Component Shootouts: We have multiple options for LiDARs, Depth Cameras, and ToF sensors, but we need data to make the final decision. You will build test rigs and run “shootout” tests to compare candidates against each other.
  • Test Rig Creation: Design and build quick-turn mechanical and electrical rigs to mount and test new sensors (e.g., measuring the drift of a LiDAR or the low-light performance of a camera).
  • Data Analysis: Capture raw sensor data and assess signal quality, noise levels, and integration feasibility. Your reports will determine which components make it into the BOM.

System Integration

  • Parallel Workstreams: As the robot design matures, the complexity will increase. You will manage specific integration streams (e.g., the vision subsystem or the power distribution subsystem) to ensure different modules fit together physically and logically.
  • Prototype Builds: Lead the physical assembly and bring-up of early prototypes, verifying that cables route correctly and thermal interfaces are making contact

We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering. You have taken a robot from “parts on a table” to “working on the ground.”
  • Hardware Debugging: You are comfortable using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to debug harness and PCB issues. You aren’t afraid to strip wires or solder a patch cable.
  • Sensor Knowledge: Solid understanding of robotics perception hardware. You understand the difference between Global Shutter and Rolling Shutter, or how Lidar point density affects navigation.
  • Software Competency: Familiarity in Linux and Python to write/modify scripts that capture sensor data. Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 to visualize data (RViz) and check topics. Familiarity with Git, bootloader and firmware updates.

Nice to Have:

  • Mechanical CAD experience (SolidWorks/Siemens NX) to design simple sensor mounts/brackets.
  • Experience with thermal management (heat sinks, fans) for high-performance compute and sensors.
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for tracking bugs and documenting RCAs.

Familiarity with the following tech stack & tools:

  • Sensors: 2D/3D LiDAR, Stereo Cameras, Time-of-Flight (ToF), IMUs
  • Software: ROS2, Python, Bash, Ubuntu Linux

Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.


In this role, you will work on teaching our robots to manipulate the world around them. This is a role at the intersection of applied deep learning and robotics, and to be set up for success you need both experience of working with real robot hardware (e.g. identifying issues in control or teleop), and applied deep learning (you don’t have to be an expert on cutting edge neural network techniques, but you should be perfectly capable of curating data, fine-tuning a policy on that data and hypothesising potential mitigations when something doesn’t work).

What You’ll Do

  • Post-train manipulation policies via behaviour cloning and RL; own the full loop from data to deployment.
  • Come up with data preprocessing strategies to improve the quality of collected data.
  • Work with the simulation team to set up RL training using digital twin, and then iterate on reward and simulation quality to ensure successful transfer to the real world.
  • Partner with the data collection organization to drive data collection activities for a specific capability: specify what good data looks like, ensure diversity and coverage, and iterate on instructions.
  • Expand observation and action spaces with new components required to support novel capabilities, and work with the Teleoperations team to expose these components to robot operators.
  • Partner with Teleoperations and Controls teams to improve motion smoothness and teleoperation experience.
  • Interface with hardware design team to ensure that manipulation team findings regarding the current generation of hardware are reflected in future designs.

We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years working on robots (industry or research) with shipped artifacts to show for it. A good understanding of modern teleoperation and low-level control stack.
  • Experience with neural network post-training.
  • Familiarity with deep learning infrastructure: streaming datasets, checkpointing & state management, distributed training, PyTorch or JAX. Ability to profile & debug numerics and write maintainable research code.
  • Good familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
  • Ability to document experiments clearly and communicate trade‑offs crisply.

Nice to have

  • Experience training VLA models for manipulation (autoregressive, diffusion or flow-matching based). Familiarity with OpenVLA, Physical Intelligence (π) models, or similar open VLA frameworks.
  • Experience applying RL to robotics problems.
  • Publications at top-tier robotics or deep learning conferences or equivalent open‑source contributions.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Control Software Engineer to lead the development, integration, and maintenance of our production-grade control software for humanoid robotic systems.

This role sits at the intersection of control and software engineering – focused on turning advanced control strategies into robust, maintainable, and validated production systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the control stack powering our robots is deterministic, safe, tested, and deployable at scale.

You bring both deep robotics control experience (10 years in robotic system development) and strong software engineering discipline – designing architectures that perform reliably in real-time environments.

What You’ll Do:

Control Software Architecture Development

  • Design and maintain modular, real-time control architectures supporting locomotion, manipulation, and teleoperation.
  • Implement high-performance control loops and middleware interfaces for deterministic, safe operation.
  • Industrialize algorithms, ensuring production readiness, maintainability, and performance.
  • Establish clear software boundaries and interfaces between motion planning, control, and hardware layers.

Production-Grade Software Engineering

  • Translate research prototypes into scalable, maintainable, and testable control software.
  • Apply modern software development practices (CI/CD, code reviews, testing frameworks, documentation).
  • Define reliability, latency, and safety metrics and enforce them throughout the control stack.
  • Lead the integration of real-time control software on embedded or Linux-based systems, ensuring consistent behavior across hardware targets.

Testing, Validation & Release Management

  • Develop automated testing frameworks (simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, regression, and performance testing).
  • Drive release and version management of the control stack, ensuring stability across branches and deployments.
  • Conduct profiling, benchmarking, and performance validation on robotic hardware.
  • Define release protocols to ensure reproducibility and verifiable system behavior.

Embedded Safety & Redundancy

  • Implement software-based fail-safes, watchdogs, and redundancy mechanisms for safety-critical control paths.
  • Work closely with hardware and safety teams to ensure fault detection, graceful degradation, and safe state transitions.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead by example through hands-on coding, code reviews, and system-level debugging.
  • Mentor engineers on control software best practices, testing methodologies, and performance optimization.
  • Contribute to the long-term control software roadmap, guiding architecture evolution and quality standards.

We’re Looking For:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Robotics, Control, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience developing robotics control software for real-time systems.
  • Proven expertise in C++ (modern standards) and Python for software implementation, testing, and automation.
  • Strong background in control theory, robot kinematics & dynamics, and real-time control systems.
  • Experience in deploying and validating control software both in simulation and on physical robotic platforms.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Excellent debugging, profiling, and system performance optimization skills.
  • Track record of shipping production-quality robotics software, not research prototypes.

As a Business Capability Analyst, you will define and strengthen core manufacturing capabilities processes, roles, controls, and digital enablement so manufacturing, assembly, and production workflows are clear, scalable, and interoperable across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT. You’ll ensure these workflows are supported by PLM, ERP, and MES, building the capability foundation to scale from Alpha to Beta and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and mature manufacturing capabilities (planning, assembly execution, production readiness, configuration and change control).
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and ownership models within each capability.
  • Build end-to-end capability maps linking engineering design to manufacturing execution.
  • Map and analyse as-is and to-be processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies.

About the role:

We are creating a new cross‑functional “AI‑Powered Continuous Improvement Flywheel” — embedding artificial intelligence into our transformation rhythm to continuously drive up automation, accuracy, and efficiency across the organization.

The Business AI Lead will guide this effort company‑wide: defining strategy, shaping architecture, aligning teams, and ensuring responsible, measurable adoption of AI across all value streams.

What You’ll Do:

  1. AI Strategy, Operating Model & Governance
    • Define the company’s AI strategy, vision, and flywheel execution cadence.

About the Role

As Digital Engineering Tools & Platform Manager, you will own and evolve Humanoid’s engineering tooling ecosystem across mechanical, electrical, simulation, and robotics disciplines.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on defining standards, enabling engineering velocity, and ensuring reliable data flow from CAD through simulation, robotics, and manufacturing.You will act as the Siemens NX (NXX) subject-matter authority, defining modelling best practices, methodologies, and automation patterns, while partnering closely with engineering leadership to scale effective ways of working.


What You’ll Do

  • Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Simulation, and Controls Engineering teams
  • The PLM Architect, who owns Teamcenter X configuration, data schema, and lifecycle governance
  • IT and Platform teams, to ensure secure, performant, and scalable tooling environments
  • The IT Director, to align engineering tooling strategy with company growth
    Engineering CAD & ECAD Platform Ownership
  • Own the installation, configuration, and optimisation of Siemens NX (NXX) and Altium Designer for mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
  • Define and maintain NX modelling methodologies, templates, drafting standards, and reuse libraries.
  • Act as the NX best-practice authority and escalation point for modelling, assemblies, WAVE linking, parametrics, and performance.
  • Ensure tooling configuration supports consistent, scalable engineering practices rather than ad-hoc usage.
  • Digital Engineering & Robotics Integration
  • Enable reliable CAD → simulation → robotics data pipelines across mechanical, electrical, and controls domains.
  • Support and guide engineers in generating and maintaining URDF-compatible robot models from NX.
  • Define workflows for geometry simplification, joint configuration, mesh preparation, and coordinate-system discipline.
  • Maintain and improve integration pipelines for Isaac Sim / Omniverse, including USD conversion, asset libraries, and validation practices.
  • Ensure consistency of kinematics, mass properties, and interfaces between CAD, simulation, and deployed robotic systems.
  • Automation & Engineering Velocity
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using NXOpen, Python, or equivalent to remove repetitive manual work.
  • Streamline engineering data flows from design through simulation and manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify friction points in the engineering toolchain and implement pragmatic improvements.
  • Enable engineers to move faster without sacrificing data quality or downstream reliability.
  • MCAD / ECAD Data & Release Enablement
  • Define standards for MCAD–ECAD alignment, including housings, PCBs, connectors, harnessing, and subsystem integration.
  • Maintain governance over standard component libraries for both NX and Altium, in partnership with engineering leads.
  • Support design reviews, BOM validation, configuration control, and release-to-build workflows.
  • Collaborate with the PLM Architect to ensure CAD practices align cleanly with Teamcenter X lifecycle and change-management processes.

We’re Looking For

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Siemens NX (NXX) within production engineering environments and strong experience on NX best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and enforcing CAD methodologies and best practices, not just using the tool.
  • Strong understanding of top-down modelling, skeleton models, WAVE linking, parametric design, and assembly performance.
  • Experience integrating CAD data into simulation and robotics workflows (e.g. URDF, digital twins, kinematic models).
  • Practical automation experience using NXOpen, Python, or similar, applied to real engineering problems.
  • Ability to work credibly with senior mechanical, electrical, and robotics engineers.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scale-up environment — pragmatic, outcome-driven, and ownership-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical standards into everyday engineering practice.

  • Experience working alongside Teamcenter X or similar PLM platforms.

About the Role

As Head of Compliance, you will design and implement a proactive, risk-aligned compliance strategy that supports the business at all stages – from product development through to international deployment. You’ll provide leadership across safety certification, data governance, export controls, and regulatory readiness.

This is a strategic and hands-on role that spans robotics regulation, trade compliance, AI/data policy, and product assurance. You’ll partner with teams across engineering, supply chain, product, legal, and leadership to help the business navigate complexity while maintaining speed and flexibility.
